How do the M.Ed. programs work?

Students in the M.Ed with certificate programs take a series of professional and content-related courses, take part in a student teaching internship, and graduate by completing a master’s degree portfolio and presenting it in a portfolio hearing at the end of the program.

Students in the M.Ed. without certificate program take a series of professional and content-related courses, and graduate either by passing a comprehensive examination or by completing a master’s degree portfolio and presenting it in a portfolio hearing. The mode of graduation will be decided by the student and his/her faculty advisor.
