Frequently Asked Questions for Degree Programs

How do you make your admissions decisions?

Each application is read and considered by the entire program faculty. Decisions are made jointly, based on all aspects of the application, considered individually and in light of the applicant pool as a whole. We are looking for applicants who are passionately interested in teaching, well prepared academically, and excited about working with young people. Our aim is to assemble a cohort of well-qualified applicants who complement each other's strengths.

Ed.D. applicants are expected to have a record of teaching experience and exemplary academic skills. The Ed.D. application process includes an in-person interview.
