Students who can demonstrate competence through prior training or experience in typically required courses may, with the approval of their advisor, substitute advanced courses in the same area.
Note: The Ed.M. program in counseling psychology does not include practicum training. Students should be aware they may be less competitive for professional psychology programs without practicum experience. All graduates who wish to qualify for professional practice in psychology must complete a doctoral program in professional psychology.
