Area of Specialization in Educational Administration (30 credits)
Required courses:
- 230:603 Theory & Research Findings in Educational Administration
- 230:604 Organizational Theory in Education
- 230:600 Topics in Educational Administration
- 236:614 Research Problems in Educational Administration II
- 18 additional credits in Educational Administration and Supervision
Research Methods (9 credits)
Required:
- 230:613 Research Problems in Educational Administration I
- 2 additional research methods course(s) to be determined by faculty advisor.
Courses outside of Area of Specialization (9 credits)
One course in each of the following areas:
- Learning in a content area
- Social and philosophical foundations
- Psychological foundations
Total credits: 48
Dissertation
In addition, each doctoral candidate is required to register for 24 credits of dissertation study (230:701) Ed.D.
Qualifying Examination
Doctoral qualifying examinations are given to the students at the completion of their course work to assess the breadth and depth of the knowledge they have acquired through their studies.
