Our Doctoral Programs

The GSE now offers both an Ed.D. and Ph.D. "What's the difference between an Ed.D. and Ph.D.?" , you might ask.

The Ed.D. is intended to prepare students for leadership roles in education. Ed.D. degrees are offered in the following areas:

• Social and Philosophical Foundations of Education
• Literacy Education
• Social Studies Education
• Elementary Education
• Educational Supervision and Administration
• Language Education
• Mathematics Education
• Science Education
• Special Education

The Ph.D. Program is intended to prepare students for a career in research, as well as a career as a college professor.
