FAQs

I was an accounting major (or a business major, or a journalism major, or a studio art major etc.) in college, and now I was told that I need a liberal arts major to be an elementary teacher. What do I do?

The State does require a liberal arts major--or the equivalent of a major (a 30-credit coherent sequence). If you did not have a liberal arts major in college, then you need to complete this 30-credit coherent sequence. An advisor will need to examine your transcript and go over your liberal arts (or general education) coursework.
