What sorts of letters of recommendation are you looking for?

The best letters of recommendation come from faculty who are familiar with your academic work, particularly in subject areas relevant to the social studies. We recommend that at least two of your letters are of this type. Letters from full-time, professorial rank faculty are preferable. We are also interested in letters from individuals who are familiar with your work with young people in educational or education-related settings, but one such letter would suffice.
