First, you need to decide what high school science you want to teach. Here at Rutgers we have two programs - physical science and biological science. The first one prepares future physics and chemistry teachers with the focus on physics, and the second one prepares biology teachers. If you want to teach physics/chemistry or biology, you need to check whether you have 30 undergraduate credits in the respective discipline (12 of them should be at 300-400 level), and check whether you have taken liberal arts courses required by the program. If both criteria apply, you make an appointment with Professor Eugenia Etkina to review your materials.
