The RIISA Middle Grades Network is a consortium of schools and school districts. The mission of the Middle Grades Network is to prepare and support administrators, teachers and school counselors to address teaching and learning issues particular to students in grades 4-8.
The Network's focus is to address achievement concerns in the areas of English language literacy, mathematics and assessment. Special attention is given to improving mathematics achievement and to strengthening reading and writing in the content areas for students receiving special education and ELL assistance.
Adding value to this work, attention is given to issues related to leadership development, expansive leadership and sustained leadership that will provide all learners the educational opportunities they need and deserve.
