The Network's focus will be to address achievement concerns in the areas of English language literacy, mathematics, science and assessment.  Special attention will be given to improving mathematics' achievement and to strengthening reading and writing in the content areas for students receiving special education and ELL assistance. 

Adding value to this work, attention will be given to issues related to leadership development, expansive leadership and sustained leadership that will provide all learners the educational opportunities they need and deserve.
