Jim Giarelli was invited to Springfield High School on November 22 to talk with 125 ninth grade students about South Africa.  The social studies supervisor at Springfield is Laurie Scott, GSE doctoral student and wife of Fritz Jonach, who did such a good job with his students in Millburn last year collecting supplies for the farm schools.  The students and teachers at Springfield are already organizing fund-raising and material collection drives for the study tour program and farm schools.  We hope other study tour participants can make these kinds of connections between South African and U. S. teachers and students.
