Samuel DeWitt Proctor Chair in Education
The Rutgers Graduate School of Education announces a faculty search for the Samuel DeWitt Proctor Chair in Education. This endowed Chair was established in 2002. Dr. Proctor was the first African-American faculty member at Rutgers to have an endowed Chair named for him.

The GSE Non-Degree Teaching of Writing Program has been honored as University Continuing Education Association (UCEA) Mid-Atlantic Region’s most effective and innovative credit-program developed in 2007.

A dissertation handbook has been developed for Ed.D. students. It clarifies the policies and procedures governing the dissertation proposal, the dissertation, and the hearings related to each. An online and print version are available.

GSE Student Awarded Scholarship
Jennifer V. Jones an Ed.D. student in the GSE Mathematics Education Program was awarded $3,000 from the Executive Women of New Jersey as part of their Graduate Merit Award Program established in 1986. She is one of 21 scholarship recipients.
